This was posted by Brian Davis(TLB Radio) on Facebooks Helter Skelter page and he rated it..whatever you think its very well written and a really enjoyable read.....
Your opinions please
It’s a terribly fun read, but it strikes me as the work of someone who has read a bunch of books and articles on the Manson saga, written a synopsis of each and then pasted them together in a stream of consciousness. We have satanism, drugs, organized crime, hollywood elite, more drugs, government agents, doomsday cults, music industry elites, deviant sex parties, bikers and more. He includes the phrase “untold story” in his title, but everything in the work is entirely stuff we’ve seen before. More than once.
It’s a cool stream of consciousness, but there’s no cohesive theme to the work. No useful structure. No logical flow. I was reminded of the Neil Young interview where Young describes Manson not as a song writer but a song spewer.
The first words in the article are a line from a song which is attributed to the Grateful Dead. Anyone who knows anything about the Dead knows this is actually a Merle Haggard song that the Dead covered, especially around ‘72.
I hate to ever be negative, and in the interest of fairness to the author I spent a fair amount of time reading many of his other articles. Most involve music, and on the whole they’re a blast to read. His tastes and interests are well-aligned with mine, and he can offer some enjoyable perspective. He can clearly write well, and given the quality of his work overall, I’m actually surprised by this Manson article.
This essay is especially valuable for those whose knowledge of the case is limited to what Bugliosi put in his book. Despite having some obvious errors(like the author's claim that Dean Moorehouse lived at Cielo Dr at some point), it is a good roundup on the various alternative theories and unresolved questions that surround the case. Well worth the read, IMO.

coldwater: Yes, ediesleftshoe30, apt description. Eyes non-stop watering, amongst other maladies, but I am so upset about the kids who have perished—needlessly. As well, of course, all whom have died, that I’d gladly trade my momentary discomfort for, well, you know.

coldwater: The sun attempted to break thru the smoke and marine layer earlier; that was startling. I’d like to know how Our Counselor is faring? Maudes as well. Although I think they’re both out of the zones, many of us have family spread out.

Pappy: We saw the Sun yesterday for about 2 hours, and then smoked overwhelmed the valley again. The air is pretty bad, unhealthy for most people. The fire in our area continues to burn, over 200,00 acres gone.

valleygirl: Been seeing images on the television news about your fires, stay safe all you guys.
